OUR tooth powder

Tooth powder has a rich history that dates back to ancient times, before the invention of toothpaste. The Egyptians were among the first civilization to utilize tooth powder for oral hygiene. They meticulously gathered plant materials such as herbs, tree barks, and spices. After grinding these ingredients into a fine powder, they would dip their fingers into it and rub it onto their teeth for cleaning. As time went on, tooth powders evolved in different cultures, with some incorporating animal bones and others using shellfish shells, depending on the region. However, at ROBelle Farm, we believe in the power of natural ingredients, so we have revived this ancient practice by creating our own tooth powder blend. Our tooth powder contains a combination of beautiful Australian native ingredients that not only ensure total oral care but also pay homage to the historical significance of tooth powder.

  • Finely grounded roasted wattle seed is not just a flavorful ingredient; it also offers surprising oral health benefits. Thanks to its abrasive texture, this seed acts as a natural teeth polisher, gently removing plaque and stains while promoting a bright and gleaming smile. But its benefits go beyond aesthetics. Packed with essential minerals and vitamins, this superfood nourishes our teeth and gums, contributing to their overall health. With regular consumption, finely grounded roasted wattle seed can be an excellent addition to our dental care routine, ensuring not only a dazzling smile but also strong and healthy teeth and gums.

  • Australian white sea salt is not only a flavorful addition to any culinary dish, but it also offers a range of health benefits. Thanks to its high mineral content, this natural salt has been found to reduce bad bacteria, making it a valuable ally in promoting oral health. By neutralizing the pH levels in the mouth, it actively contributes to fighting bad breath and preventing reinfection. Furthermore, this salt's soothing properties can help alleviate inflammation, providing relief and promoting overall oral well-being. Incorporating Australian white sea salt into your daily routine can yield not only a culinary delight but also a boost in oral hygiene.

  • Australian native herbs possess a remarkable range of qualities that make them ideal for promoting a healthy ecosystem within the mouth. With their natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, these herbs play a vital role in maintaining a balanced micro flora and fostering the growth of beneficial bacteria. From the fragrant eucalyptus to the versatile lemon myrtle, these indigenous herbs offer a wealth of medicinal benefits. Whether used as an essential oil, in steeped teas, or incorporated into oral care products, Australian native herbs provide a holistic approach to oral health, ensuring a flourishing micro flora and supporting overall dental well-being.

At ROBelle Farm, we take pride in our tooth powder, even though it may cost a little more than others on the market. The reason behind this is simple: we value our planet and believe that soil is precious. While clay is a natural ingredient and beneficial for our health, its extraction through mining practices is not eco-friendly. Furthermore, it takes an astonishing 1,000 years for clay to renew itself. In order to combat this issue, we have chosen to use plant-based materials in our tooth powder. While this does increase the price, these ingredients can be annually replenished, making them better for the environment. To use our tooth powder, simply dispense it from the tube into a clean container to preserve its freshness. Dampen your toothbrush and dip it into the powder, then proceed to brush your teeth as you would with normal toothpaste. The taste may not be as pleasant as traditional toothpaste, but rest assured that our powder contains no additives, sugar, or surfactants - only the power of plants for a wholesome mouth-cleaning experience.
